Our church has a long history of participating in service projects all over the country and the world. This year, we sent a team to Gary, Indiana, to assist homeowners with recovery from severe flooding that occurred in the fall of 2008. We also had a team of youth go to Columbus, Ohio, this summer to work in conjunction with a local organization called Rebuilding Together. Next January, we are planning on sending a group to Xoy, Mexico, to partner with a local church in doing building improvements.
We frequently work with the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee Disaster Response Services (www.crwrc.org) which is widely recognized for it's leadership and expertise in assisting those affected by disasters.
