Who's the Greatest?
Each year, a Scripture passage is selected and a theme is developed around that Scripture to make the passage come alive for the girls. Bible studies, service projects, crafts, games, and other fun activities are created to teach the truth of God’s Word that is found in the theme.
He must become greater; I must become less (John 3:30).
God is the greatest. The heavens declare it; His works affirm it. To the ends of the earth, His majestic story is being told through His Word, His Spirit, and His people.
John the Baptist got it. He understood enough of Jesus’ greatness to recognize his place in relationship to Christ. He said, He must become greater; I must become less (John 3:30). There’s no other option. God commands us to love others so they will know Him (John 13:34-35). For the world to clearly see Jesus in us He must increase and we must decrease.
When we make the choice to make much of God, we discover true joy. As Jesus increases, our joy increases (John 3:29)! The stories God’s children tell with their lives should consistently point people to Jesus. When Christ is the center of all we think, say, and do, we fade into the background allowing others to see Him more and more.
